How did you get to where you are now in your industry? Tell us a bit of your story.
For over a decade PIC Home Pros have provided quality home improvements in New England, serving residential, commercial, and condo association clients. Anthony Picarello founded PIC Home Pros on the belief that offering customers superior reliability and affordable prices is the key to long-term success. When working with other contractors in home improvement, he saw that there was an alarming lack of responsibility, credibility, integrity, customer service and workmanship. He wanted to create quality service with accountability. Anthony’s motivation to strive for perfection comes upon completion of a project. Seeing the joy in a client’s eyes when their vision comes to life is very satisfying!
What are the most common jobs you do for your customers?
We waterproof and remodel basements. We install energy efficient windows and doors. We install beautiful siding to your home and install quality asphalt and metal roofing systems. We treat and remove mold. We also provide gutter and gutter protection products.
What is your pricing? / How do you establish pricing for your work?
We will meet you to discuss your needs and do a professional site survey inspection. We will then work up an exact price for you that is good for 1 year. We will never pressure you and our estimates are always free!
Describe a recent project / job you did. What was the job? How did you go about it? How much did it cost? How long did it take?
Challenge: The homeowner had double hung windows that were original to the home. The builder installed basic windows that were not energy efficient and didn't look good. When we met with both homeowners for a site survey we determined that their energy costs had increased almost 80% over the last 5 years. We attributed that to the poorly designed windows and minimal insulation in the walls and attic. The 2 factors most important to the homeowner were energy efficiency and maintenance free. Our challenge was to find an affordable solution that provided comfort and saved them money. Solution: After a few design meetings with Jamie and Lisa, we determined that we could design custom home pro MAX windows for their home that had a low U-Factor and lifetime warranty so they would never have to worry about any issues with their new windows. We also installed 2 new bay/bow designer series windows that increased their curb appeal and resale value. Our second goal was to install a designer series siding with PVC moldings that complimented the new windows. We installed our Home Pro Max siding series with an R-5 insulating value and breathable mold free underlayment. Our Max series is like an insulating blanket wrapped around the home for maximum energy savings. The insulation is cutting edge because it allows for mositure to pass through, not trapping it, which can lead to rot or mold. The homeowners Lisa & Jamie decided matching bay windows would be a very attractive addition to both the interior design and the exterior curb appeal. They were looking for a traditional colonial look and succeeded with the color combinations they picked. This total project was begun at the end of the spring and was completed within 2 weeks. Once completed, we returned to remodel their existing screenroom to be a fully functional three season room that greatly increased the entertaining square footage of their home. Our goal at PIC Home Pros is to provide superior reliability and exceptional service.
